What do you like best about doing massage? I love to see my clients expression after finishing a session. They just can’t believe how good they feel after having a massage. Also when my clients come in pain and leave feeling brand new that’s so rewarding to me. I enjoy making others FeelXtra…….
What inspired you to get into this industry? It all started when I was small maybe 5-6. I’m the youngest so my older sister used to force me to give her back massages almost everyday. At first I hated it but after doing it for so long I began to learn different techniques and moves to make my sister feel better. I also had a cousin that is obsessed with massage so out of all my cousins of course I was the one that got picked to massage her. While everyone was playing I was in the room massaging her. It was then at the early age of less than 10 yrs old that I knew this was what I wanted to be when I grow up . Shortly after high school I joined the school for massage and haven’t stopped doing what I Love ever since.
What do you find are your biggest challenges – as a therapist? as a business owner? As a therapist, I need to make sure I am more physically fit and keep on top of my health and fitness. It is important because this is a very physically demanding job, and I want to be able to do it for a long time.As a business owner, I have to make sure all my clients and therapists are happy and getting what they need. I wan I take xtra care to make sure my therapists are always in the best spirits and health. That way their happiness and health is translated into awesome service. I also want to bring something new to the table. I want to exceed my clients expectation every single time.
What one thing would you like to change/improve about the massage industry? I like what the big chains are doing because they’re making massage known to tons of people but at the same time the way they treat their therapist is horrible. I believe in quality over quantity . These therapist at big chains are being over worked for little pay which at the end only hurts the clients and wear-out the therapist . I hear it every time from clients how the massage they received from big chains was more like a fluff and buff not a real massage.
Who are the important people in your life? My girlfriend Rhine is very import to my life and success. She supports all I do and knows our massage business will be a great success. My daughter Brianna gives me the strength I need to be successful .My father has always been a great inspiration in my life his hard work and dedication inspires me to do great for others. I have a great family and the most awesome friends.
What do you like to do for fun? I know I said this earlier but my fun is traveling . I try to getaway at least 3or more times a year. It allows me to think of new business ideas and helps me center myself.
How do you like to relax? I feel that I’m always relaxed and laid back. I have a million things going threw my head everyday so sometimes just being in a quite room with my mind at blank is nice. Of course getting a massage beats everything else.
